Warner Bros. Discovery: Innovate on the Lot

CEO Orlando Wood and COO Caleigh Peters were invited to the Warner Bros. Discovery's Innovate on the Lot

Our CEO Orlando Wood and COO Caleigh Peters had the privilege of joining Warner Bros. Discovery on the historic Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California, to share what we’ve learned after a year of close collaboration.

It’s not every day you get to work shoulder-to-shoulder with a legacy studio that helped define modern cinema, and that is now just as intent on helping define the future.

Warner Bros. Discovery is embracing AI not as a replacement for artists, but as a tool to support them. In a moment when the industry is rightfully skeptical of rapid technological change, WBD is carving out a path that is both pragmatic and principled. They’re exploring AI that reduces production friction; accelerating timelines, optimizing budgets, and unlocking new creative possibilities, without compromising on copyright integrity or artistic authorship.

This balance isn’t new for Warner Bros. It’s part of their DNA.

They gave us The Jazz Singer, the first feature-length film with synchronized sound, and revolutionized cinematic storytelling with The Matrix’s Bullet Time. They twisted dreams into spirals with Inception, and this summer, they’ll once again remind the world what it feels like to believe a man can fly.

Kubrick, Hitchcock, Eastwood, Scorsese, Nolan; this studio has long been a home for visionary minds. What makes this next chapter different is that the vision now includes new tools, new partners, and new questions about how technology should serve creativity- not supplant it.

This week on the lot, that ethos was alive and well. We were joined by an incredible cohort of fellow startups and innovators pushing forward in the generative space.

Together, we engaged in open, rigorous conversations about ethical AI adoption, creative workflows, IP protection, and the future of storytelling. We left energized by the clarity and conviction that the Warner Bros. Discovery Global Strategy team brought to the table.

At KoobrikLabs, we believe in building technology for creatives, not in place of them. We’re honored to be learning alongside Warner Bros. and this remarkable group of builders, artists, and strategists.

The industry is at a crossroads. Warner Bros. is proving that the way forward doesn’t have to be a tradeoff between tradition and transformation.
