From early prototype to scalable AI legal platform
Building a cloud-ready foundation for regulatory intelligence and growth
About the client
Find Know Do is an early-stage legal technology company focused on helping in-house legal teams navigate regulatory decisions and enforcement actions.
The platform aggregates publicly available regulatory findings and decisions from U.S. authorities, structuring them into a searchable knowledge base that allows lawyers to ask natural-language questions and receive AI-generated summaries and insights. This capability supports firms advising regulated clients, including global practices such as Norton Rose Fulbright, where rapid understanding of regulatory outcomes is critical.
At the time of engagement, Find Know Do was pre-market and operating with a very small team, preparing for growth across new jurisdictions including the UK and beyond.
The Challenge
The product vision was strong, but the technical foundations were not yet built to scale.
Key challenges included:
- Single-box architecture: Core systems, including AI services and data storage, were running on a single server, creating risk around reliability, scalability, and resilience.
- Manual deployment and operations: Application updates and infrastructure changes relied on hands-on, manual processes with no automated deployment pipeline.
- AI capabilities without scalable foundations: Core AI functionality existed, but the underlying infrastructure wasn’t yet designed for dependable scaling or production use.
- Growing customer expectations: Target customers included banks and regulated financial institutions, requiring higher standards of security, stability, and compliance readiness.
To support growth, customer acquisition, and future funding conversations – and to meet the expectations of firms such as Norton Rose Fulbright, the platform needed a modern, secure, cloud-native foundation.
Why KoobrikLabs
KoobrikLabs helps early-stage and scaling organisations turn promising products into production-ready platforms. Founded on the belief that strong infrastructure enables innovation rather than slowing it down, we focus on building systems that are reliable, secure, and easy to operate – particularly for teams without dedicated operations resources.
For this engagement, Find Know Do partnered with KoobrikLabs for our ability to modernise AI-driven platforms, design scalable cloud architectures, and support startups through the critical transition from prototype to growth-ready product.
Our Approach
KoobrikLabs worked with Find Know Do through targeted, task-driven IT improvements that surfaced and addressed immediate security gaps
- Migrated core AI services into a containerised architecture
- Deployed the AI API on AWS using Fargate for serverless, low-ops operation
- Enabled reliable scaling without requiring an internal operations team
- Migrated the existing database into managed AWS services
- Introduced automated CI/CD pipelines using infrastructure-as-code
- Replaced manual deployments with repeatable, secure processes
- Designing support for customer-uploaded private documents
- Preparing documents for AI use while enforcing access controls
- Laying the groundwork for enterprise-grade data isolation
